About This Project

Pentagon Carpentry and Joinery have used our British Larch/Douglas Fir Featheredge Cladding for this heavy duty garden corner room. Using 75mm uprights and the 28/8mm thickness featheredge cladding, this stunning garden room has been UV protected by a dark tinted wood preservative that will make slow down the process of weathering on the Larch/Douglas Fir for up to 10 years.

British Larch/Douglas Fir is a great affordable option for cladding that truly lasts, even without further protection or treatment. Strong and hardwearing, this homegrown softwood has striking colour variations and durability that can be twice as durable as common pine. Perfect for cladding buildings in a traditional style and cost effective vs hardwoods such as Oak, this high in resin content wood is perfect for a cost friendly solution to your cladding needs.

This cladding is available in first and character grade – with the first grade filled with only the clearest and most knot free boards and straightest grain possible, meanwhile the character grade will have exactly that, some knots and sloping grain alongside clearer boards to provide a characterful look to your project.
