About This Project
A recent project Rural Oak had completed was the installation of an Oak Porch Entrance, which has significantly improved the functionality and appearance of this client’s home. Built using Structural Green Oak, the porch features exposed beams and traditional joinery, offering a practical and durable solution that complements the architectural style of the property. The pitched, boarded roof provides effective protection from the elements, ensuring the entrance remains dry and accessible.
The Green Oak was selected for its strength and long-term performance. Over time, the timber will naturally weather, developing a more mature appearance. The finished porch has not only enhanced the curb appeal of the house but also created a functional, sheltered entryway that meets both aesthetic and practical needs.
