About This Project
This Large Oak Carport and Log Store extension to an existing home structure by Rural Oak was completed using our custom cut Structural Oak. The design fits with the existing aesthetic of the home, and incorporates modern elements such as integrated lighting to create a cohesive extension for convenience all year round.
Using Structural Oak for this project not only adds timeless character but also long-term strength and durability. Our Structural Oak is ideal for such outdoor construction thanks to its natural resistance to the elements, ability to bear heavy loads and the low maintenance for the years to come with a long life-span. Structural Oak is easy to cut and machine, with the ability to create custom shapes and for easy fitting. Over time, Oak will naturally develop some splits as it air dries and without any UV Protection, this material will turn into a beautiful silver/grey tone that can be stained to your liking or left to weather in the sunlight, adding to its classic look.
