About This Project
One of our skilled customers has created some truly beautiful driveway gates using our Air-Dried Oak Tongue and Groove Cladding, the perfect choice for long lasting durability and protection from all weather, particularly perfect for this time of year.
As you will see, the traditional ‘Tongue & Groove’ finish works perfectly for gates as well as a multitude of other DIY projects, with the stunning oak grain and a rich honey colour perfectly accented by the black iron work. Tongue and Groove is often considered to be the ideal cladding type, making the overall structure stronger and more durable, leaving an aesthetically pleasing finish and very easy to maintain and clean.
These boards are supplied untreated for customers to finish to their own liking at home or left to age gracefully into a beautiful silver grey.
If you choose to use treatment, we recommend Treatex, that will preserve the supplied colour and act as a weather resistant sealant.
